The first physical step is constructing a sturdy frame that serves as the skeleton of your floating dock. Lay out your frame components following your design specifications and connect them securely using appropriate fasteners ensuring all corners are square so that your frame remains stable once in water.
With the frame complete, it's time to attach flotation devices at strategic points beneath the structure to provide buoyancy. Ensure they're evenly distributed to maintain balance when weight is applied to the dock's surface later on. Attach each float tightly to prevent detachment even during rough water conditions.
After installing floats onto the frame, proceed by laying down decking material over top of it.
